OnOctober18,shenglaiyun,spokesmanofthenationalbureauofstatistics(NBS)anddirectorofthegeneralstatisticsdepartmentofthenationaleconomy,introducedthenationaleconomyinthefirstthreequartersof2013.  Accordingtopreliminarycalculations,theGDPofthefirstthreequartersreached3.86762trillionyuan,anincreaseof7.7%year-on-yearintermsofcomparableprices.Inthefirstquarter,thegrowthratewas7.7%,7.5%inthesecondquarterand7.8%inthethirdquarter.Intermsofindustries,theaddedvalueoftheprimaryindustryreached3.5669trillionyuan,up3.4%year-on-year.Theaddedvalueofthesecondaryindustryreached1.7511.8trillionyuan,up7.8percent;Theaddedvalueofthetertiaryindustryreached17.5975trillionyuan,up8.4percent.Onaquarter-on-quarterbasis,GDPgrewby2.2%inthethirdquarter.Thisisthesynchronousbeltindustrytoacceleratethedevelopmentofdomesticindustries,seizethedomesticdevelopmentopportunities,andthenationalconsumptionandincomeincreaseintothecorresponding.  Factoryactivityinthemid-atlanticregionslowedslightlyinOctober,butbusinessoptimismaboutthefutureremainedata10-yearhigh,asurveyshowed.  DatashowedthePhiladelphiafed'smanufacturingindexfellto19.8inOctoberfrom22.3inSeptember,betterthanexpectedat15.0.Areadingabovezeroindicatesexpansioninregionalmanufacturing.  ThePhiladelphiafed'sindexofnewordersroseto27.5inOctoberfrom21.2,thehighestsinceMarch2011.Theemploymentindexroseto15.4from10.3,thehighestsinceMay2011.Meanwhile,thepricepaymentindexfellto21.7from25.3,thepriceacquisitionindexroseto14.2from12.7,andtheshipmentindexfellto20.4from21.2.  Thesurveyshowedrespondentsremainedoptimisticabouttheoutlook,withthebusinessconditionsindexforthenextsixmonthsrisingto60.8from58.2inOctober,thehighestlevelsinceSeptember2003
